HomeTheater & HiFI har tested STAX’s nye model SR-009D i maj måned og er begejstrede.
De skriver blandt andet: “As a reviewer, I’ve listened to several STAX Earspeaker (STAX’s name for their headphones) systems. I’ve enjoyed them all, and they each had a distinctive tuning while having the classic electrostatic sound. The STAX SR-009D is the newest release from STAX, and has charmed me yet again, with both new tuning and several upgrades”.
“No matter what I threw at the STAX SR-009D, they were up for the challenge. DSD files had microscopic detail and nuance. Live jazz recordings were brought to life by the transparency and airiness, which provided breathing room for the instruments to stand out with life-like timbre and weight. There was a purity and crystalline quality to the presentation that never strayed into brittleness or dryness (even though it is said that electrostatic headphones lean towards dryness, due to how fast they are). Trailing tones lingered and never seemed to disappear too quickly.”
